Default how to replace glovebox door?

Seems an easier question than it is after I've thought it through, the handle on my glovebox broke as well as part of the door that it connects to. I can't even seem to find a used one online and besides that, how would I get my key to work in a used one? Am I going to have to go to the dealer and shell out big $$$ for a new one keyed to my key? Any other options? Thanks!

I searched their site and couldn't find anything, I'll try calling them if nothing else pops up soon.

I don't know about switching out locks, I hope someone does.

This one i know!
Changed my glove box door this summer.
You can buy a new door at the VW dealer. I payed approx 180$. Guaranteed cheaper over there!

Changing the door is a matter of pulling out two plugs - easy..
You can use the same lock.
When you remove the lock from the old handle be aware of two things:
1. Two or three parts will jump out of the lock when you remove it because they have a spring on them.
2. Remember wich way the lock was entered. The key hole is vertical i think, but look at the tab on the inside. You can enter the lock up side down, and then you have problems..

I know my english sucks. Not in a english mood.. Hope you understand though.
