Default Now... Window fell in the door

Oh well, after an unsuccessful attempt to fix the moonroof drains (water still get into the car), I bring the NB at the dealer. They start to check and they will need to open the whole roof assembly. Apparently, there are tubings going to the rear nipples/drains that can leave their position and stop working as they should (at least, that's what the guy told me).

So I say OK, do the repair. Then, when the garage guy tries to open my window, it fell in the door.

Poooooooooooooor Nounoursmobile.

I suppose it's the window regulator problem. My question is : do they have to replace it with metal clips or they could use similar stupid plastic ones?

At least, I won't have to pay for the windows.

And... Rant not finished... So they lend me another car while Nounoursmobile stays there. Guess what, the stupid gas gauge on the '07 Jetta City isn't good, shows a couple of marks before Empty and I get stuck on the highway with an empty tank.

Aaaaaaaarrrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhh!

On my NB when I reach the last line in the red zone I can still drive 60 km. Definitely a bad day today.

Poooooor Nounoursmobile alone tonight in their garage.

That is a bad day indeed. What is the Jetta City, if I may ask?

The Jetta City is one of the new '07 models over here. You don't have it in the USA? It's a four door and equipped with a uncalibrated gas gauge.

Nounours! Welcome Back! I've been wondering where you were!

If you didn't have bad luck, you wouldn't have any luck at all....

I hope everything is back to normal very soon.

We have 4 door Jettas, but I was curious as to what made it "city" does it have the Turbo S-like city lights or something?

Hi dnyed, yep, very long time no see.

In a way, I guess I was lucky that the window fell down while at the dealer, because it's big rain here again all week. Imagine if your car is missing one window on top of the moonroof leaks.

I contacted the dealer a few minutes ago and they confirmed they will replace both window regulators with aluminum parts.

About the '07 Jetta City, I'll tell you more when I open the hood when I bring it back, but it seems to be a new engine, pretty much powered. But I could be mistaken, as I don't know much about the new VW models. But there's definitely "City" metal letters on the trunk.

Nounours,
I sent you a reply PM tonight before I read this post. Sorry to hear you weren't able to clear the drains.

Those pesky electric windows! At least you are getting metal parts so you shouldn't have this problem again. Good luck.
