VAG-COM is a very useful tool to use thatyou can log data onto your laptop to analyse and setermine if you car is running correctly... for my turbo i can use it to determine if my boost expected and boost recieved is accurate, it can help to determine whther or not i have an issue or not.
VAG-com is very useful. you can check out www.ross-tech.com they have all the info you need. ![]() |

Another thing about it, is that it can read VW-specific codes, that the Autozone tool is unable to.

I have an el-cheapo setup that lets me check/clear CELs, Brake and Airbag codes as well as reprogram the door locks and set some other options/features of the car. Its a good investment.

Yeah...with what the dealer charges to scan the car, it pays for itself after about 2 uses. And once you have it, you can scan it all day long if you want! Its a really great thing to have. Worth the money you put into it up front

Will the unregistered software read codes? I went to ross-tech website and they have the software key for $99 but it does not come with the interface. Would the software work with a third party interface like this one from ebay? |
