Default Battery wont hold charge

Okayyyy so it seems my car doesn't like to start, and when it's jumped, doesn't want to stay on, do you think it's the battery, or do you think the battery just wont hold a charge due to a bad alternator? Like I said, it won't stay on once it's jumped, so I can't even take it anywhere to be vag com-ed, and my dad refuses to tow it, so he's being a pain the ass big time, and he wants to freakin pull it in neutral with his explorer while i steer w/o power steering (WE GET A FREE TOW WITH AAA) he's such a freakin .. .UHG
so do you think I need an alternator, or should I just swap the battery?

If the battery is a few years old, get a new battery. I was surprised that mine went out at only 3 1/2 years. This is the easiest fix.

Good luck to you!

We had a Civic that ate batteries for breakfast. Quick fix and if it still occurs, then you'll know what the problem is.
