I had someone replace my alternator but now the airbag light is on and not going off. Does this mean my battery is low or maybe that some wire is hooked up wrong? I dont know much about cars so maybe there is someone out there who can help me. ![]() Last edited by lisaashley86; 11-01-2006 at 02:11 AM.. Reason: Help |

I'd say you need to go to a dealer who can cancel the airbag light. Generally this light will come on if someone has turned the ignition on whilst part of the airbag system is disconnected. When they changed your alternator they may have accidently blown a fuse or pulled a fuse. Some shops pull the airbag fuse when playing with the electrics and if the ignition is turned on whilst the fuse is disconnected a warning light will come on ....till removed by a dealer or someone with a scanner. The warning light just means that the airbag is disconnected - nothing more and not a warning that it could go off at any tick of the clock!
