Remote battery replacement

Searched the forums, didn't find answer to my question, so apologies in advance if its been asked/answered 100's of times already.

Anyway, how the )(*^&$*&%^%$ do I replace the battery in my remote/key? My manual says "take it to the dealer." I can't imagine that's the answer that all of you creative, tinkering folks accept. Moreover, my dealer is 55 miles away, I really don't want to drive 110 miles (and take the day off) to replace a battery if I can help it.

Any of you fixed this simple problem already?
