Exclamation Help! How to remove center dash console...

Hello all!

I am looking for some help on how to remove my center dash console. I took my car to Best Buy to install a new head unit and they scratched the heck out of my dash... I've got the new one sitting in my garage, but rather than paying the dealership almost $300 to install it, I would like to at least try and do it myself. Any tips will be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks in advance!!!

Thumbs up

I recently started the console dettach a few weeks ago but was stopped in my tracks due to a death so I was gone for sometime, car still in pieces. I've attached the .pdf file explaning how to disassemble basically most of the interior. You just need the tools to pull out the stero. Basically just screws, not that difficult if your handy. Did you talk to best buy about the scratches, I have no idea what their policy is but if you didn't get your car back the way it was, you should talk to them about it. You payed them money for a service and they scratch your dash, big no no. But whatever the case good luck with the dash.

There's no apostrophe before an 's' when you're talking about the plural version of a word. "I took some neat photo's!" is NOT correct.

Sorry for digging up and old post, but I was looking at that PDF, and do I really have to start dis assembly at the steering wheel, just to get the center part of the dash off?

I have a friend who says VW and Audi are the most difficult things to work on, and to be honest, I'm beginning to agree with him.

No no, I think that pdf is just showing you how to remove everything. If you want to remove the center console part, I was told all you have to do is remove the radio first.
