Lightbulb Alarm Issue and Inside Light Issue-HELP!

I swear, I am really starting to hate my NB and loathe the day I decided to buy a VW! It seems like every few months something else major goes wrong with this car! It's not just big things, it's a million little things as well...like the 3 Hubcaps I've had to replace over the last year at $50/pop!

Anyways, enough venting....I need some help from you experts!

My alarm will go off for no reason at all! I will unlock it and it will turn off. It does this three or four times in a row. Also, my lights inside my car are going all crazy. I never move the setting on them, (it's set to have the lights come on when I open the doors) well now the lights will come on while I'm driving until I move the setting to be completely off. The small light on the passenger side is coming out, so I just pop it back in.

I don't know how to fix it, and I don't want to annoy my neighbors with my alarm anymore. If it goes off in the middle of the night, I may not hear it. Please help if you can!

Had this problem with my 96 Golf! It's probably one of your door light switches(not sure what to call them)
These swiches activate the lights when you open the doors, and are connected to the alarm system. If one is loose or faulty they could set off the alarm. The vibration from a passing truck or even heavy winds made my alarm go! So check these first. Good luck and don't give up! It's part of being VW owner.

Have the same problem.. It´s the doorlock switch, i removed the casette yesterday with the look in it and it was dirt allover the microswitch... But there´s no way to fix it so have to order entirely new doorlock... You want me to send pictures how to remove the door?? It´s really easy.
