Well ... there is one site that you can find out about a bunch of mods and things people have done. It's called NewBeetle.org. Your best bet for performance mods is to hook up with the Square Dubbers and see what they have done on their GTI's, Personally I deal with ECSTuning.com for most of my engine performance, APR (goapr.com) for exhaust and chip and Neuspeed.com for suspension.

What is your goal?

my goal is to make my beetle as fast as possible and to do as many blot-ons as i can. my boyfriend had an all motor 95 neon and i like working on cars so i really want to mod it but i am not sure of the best name brands for a beetle since i was used to seeing stuff for a neon or honda. i really like the APEX exhaust or the Greddy one. any imput would help. i want to start with a header, cold air intake, and full exhaust.

Well ... since you mentioned header, I guessed it is a 2.0 and not a TDI or 1.8T. Probably the best place to ask these questions would be in the Technical Mods or 2.0 Threads. Define your budget and expectations. The best power mod for the 2.0 is the Neuspeed SuperCharger ... well at least for reliability. If you plan on going that route at some time some of the others you have done may have to be undone. Ask first. I belong to a more or less local club with a few members that have done some 2.0 mods in their Jettas and Golfs, most have moved on to VR6 or 1.8T's now but may be able to give you some info also.
