Default Fog light assembly replacement (not bulb)

I did some research, and could only find topics about bulb replacement.

The driver side fog headlight is broken. I can't believe I'm the only one!

I have found a replacement part at http://www.europartsdirect.com/epc-search.asp
part number VWW069530 - $61.76 free shipping which seems a good deal compared to almost $100 at VW. Anybody has already dealt with this company?

Also, I would like to know if I have to remove the front grill, or if it can be changed from underneath?

Any advice appreciated.

I have the same issue with my fog lights, only that it may be a fuse problem or a bulb. Bought replacement bulbs for $6.50 at the dealer. They said I may have to remove the grille to get into the fog lights. Grille should slide off, make sure ur car is on something high so u can get underneath it (Incline ramp).

Thx for your reply and advice, but no you don't. On my car, the whole fog headlight is broken and needs to be replaced, not the bulb.

I need a foglight too. Right side. Will this fit mine Bill?? It says to 00 and I have an 01. I need just the bulb on the left side, which is the same as the headlight right? I thought I'd wait and fix them both at the same time.

If you check on europarts website for instance, they have different part numbers for 98-00 and 01, respectively "VWW069531" and "VWW086642 TYC".

I have no clue what the difference is, or if they are compatible or not.

Also right side and left side are different.

Thanks! I know left and right are different, I just wasn't sure about 00 to 01. I think I'll email them to make sure. Thanks again.
