Default BEETLE 2000 fans not working ,please help

hi everybody.
I got a problem with the fans. the both fans are not coming on.
motor fan has 3 wires ,when I connect direct red wire and the brown to the fan ,it work.
but when bridge the red wire to red/white wire and the ground it does not work .is it bad motor ?

Id check the fuses first # 3 and number #8 on the holder of the battery cover.

AND fuse #16 on the left dash cover.

bridge red and red white to the battery both fans should work slow

put the RED and then conect the yeloww/red one both fans should work at the fast speed.

If they run (the fans) the the termoswith is GONE and you should replace it (it is near the horn and the right fog lamp (underneath the BUG), Its a black box with wires (maybe its loose on the cables so check that.

Of course if fans do not turn when connected directly......its the fans

1-bridge red and red white to the battery both fans should work slow ? from fans motor ?

-with the red to battery fan work
-with the red/white to battery fan does not.(is it bad ?)
