Default Left Front Turn Signal

I just recently purchased my 98 bug...
and there were a few minor issues, but nothing really to be concerned with other than a tune up was needed.

But, as soon as I got it home from the shop...my front left turn signal doesnt work. It isnt the bulb, because I switched the two and the bulb works in the right side.
So I thought maybe there was just a short, or maybe an electrical issue that I would need the service guys to look at when I came back for them to check on things.
BUUUTT!
When I was driving home this evening...
my turn signal works just fine!
What is going on!

Now the guys at the repair shop are going to think I am crazy!
Haha
My bug is a little picky I guess...
What do you think could be the problem?
And how should I fix it in the even that she decides to not work again?

When I first got my Bug, my headlight went out soon after I got it. But it wasn't consistent. I don't know exactly what it was but my guess is it was something with the wiring. It would go on and off as I drove over speed bumps (where I lived and was learning to drive it, as it was manual which I had never driven before, there were about 3-4 speed bumps I went over everytime I drove) and whatnot. Took it to the dealer and they fixed it. It didn't fall under the warrenty I had technically (30-day limited, wasn't certified pre-owned) but since headlights needed to work for inspection and then died right after, I guess they felt pity on me. Who knows. I just let them figure it out.

How about your hazards? Try them too. My guess is your hazzard switch needs replacing. It's a do-it-yourself-and-save-alot-of-money-job Check my signature for the how to. I replaced mine myself
