How to change temperature display???

Hi All

I had a new battery installed in my 2000 Beetle. Now the outside temp display reads celsius. How do I change it back to fahrenheit??

OH -- any advice on finding a service manual for less than $50??

My temp. reading is always wrong,is there a way to reset that? or do i have to replace something??

you can do it by holding down one of the buttons or somethign similar oto that....my manual is in my car right now and I am heading towards bed, but if anyone doesn't post it before I get up I will check tomorrow

For temperature from celsius to fahrenheit (or back):
Put the key in ignition and turn the car on (but don't start the car). Hold both the Hour and Minute buttons for at least 3 seconds.

For clock from military to regular (or back):
Put the key in ignition. (Do not turn on or start the car.) Hold both the Hour and Minute buttons for at least 3 seconds.

Do you know to make them temp gauge read the temp??

It worked fine, the sunglass holder fell out, when we put it back in it now doesnt work. It lights up and says --F

I suggest that you re-remove the sunglass holder, and see what you screwed up in the cubby.

unplug the battery and plug it back in if you find nothing unplugged

Thanks, I found that info handy. Just finished changing wife's clock.....
