Smile VAG-COM in Boise Idaho area...

Need help with an air bag light on my beetle and I don't have the money to take it to the dealer. Could someone please contact me if they have acccess to one and would be willing to help.

I have this and it's excellent. It'll tell you exactly why the light is on and allows you to clear it and turn the light off. And it won't kill your pocketbook!

Did some reasearch and was recommended a scan tool. I found it on Ebay and got it over the weekend. It works great! It is a Autel Geniscan GS200 for VW's and Audi's. I ran it tonight and it found a issue with code 0588 = air bag ignition circuit driver side - N95. Anyone know what the N95 is? I'm guessing it's a location for a connector, but where?

I had the same exact issue and my Geniscan found it as well. You have to remove the drivers airbag module, clean and reseat the connector and you're done.
