Default plastic dash piece came off

right above the ac vents on top of the dash there is a large plastic piece..this piece wasn't connected and looks like it just slides back into place but it isn't staying where its supposed to..is there any trick to getting it back where it should be?

No tricks. It's the front center dash part right? Has 1 clip on the very front edges, facing back so when you slide it back it fits in there. Also has that center nub, and ... I think a couple clippy things on the flat rear-most edge? It just fits snug. Check to see if your clips are broken or something. Or maybe you just need to beef up the plastic that it clips to. (add tape)

Yeah when i removed mine to hide my antenna those clips fell off. I wouldn't be surprised if that was the problem.
