Beetle starts then Dies!!!!!
1999 Beetle 2.0
After jumping off battery, starts and shuts off. OBDII-code P1543(idle speed actuator low volt)shows. I have read that a Vag-com may reset, re-calabrate basically fix problem. Is this true or is best bet replace actuator?

According to Bentley for an AEG its
P1543 17951 Angle sensor -1- for Throttle drive -G187- signal too small - Check Throttle Control Module - Check intake air system for leaks - Check throttle valve control module I would start with the Vacuum Hoses ... replace any that are leaking and all that are covered with cloth .... on a 1999 they should have started leaking about 4 years ago, they sucked!
