Smile Stupid question but. . .

How do you remove the engine cover? Does it just pop off? I don't want to break anything!

My hubby says there were screws. Two round covers towards the front pop off and you'll see them. Also one towards the back without a cover. You also need to take off the oil cap. He says it might be nuts not screws too.

There are two little round things on the left and right towards the front, kinda near where the 1.8 TURBO letters are. Get a flathead screwdriver and pop them off, and you'll see some nuts in there. You'll need a socket wrench to get them out. Once those are out, in the back you'll see another nut. You just have to loosen that one, don't take the whole thing off. That'll allow you to kinda pull up on the cover and slide it out. GL!

edit: Ellen, I never had to take my oil cap off?

I just wrote what John told me. He's the one that did it. I personally have never done it and couldn't see why they would make you do it but eh, he's the pro
