Default Smell

My wifes 2005 conv. has a foul smell that comes and goes. It smells as though it was damp but there is no dampness or wetness in the car or in the trunk. Any help or suggestions are welcome.
Could the pollen filter have anything to do with this? Please respond to me at
irar@comcast.net

Thank you,

Ira

It's either the pollen filter; or there's mildew in the A/C ventilation system.

also look inside the well where the softtop goes down into... put the top like halfway down and start to look it over alot... these wells often fill with leaves, feathers, ect ect
