99 TDI Beetle 130K miles. Noticed the brake lite on, cruise no work, and outside air temp no work. Fuse #5 COMFORT CONTROL SYSTEM fuse blown. The only thing that blows it is the Rear defog switch when turned on. Unpluged window elements, still blows fuse. No chafeing at rear hatch cable area.
Could the switch fail in such a way as to cause this and not blow the defog fuse?? I have not checked to see if the defog works or not. Just confused at the connection to the comfort control fuse? |
