Check to see if your brake lights are working or not. If they are not working call the VW dealership and ask to bring your car in for a Brake Light Switch. Should be under recall and not cost you a thing.

I just had this happen to me a month or so ago.....

I'm also having issues with my cruise control...all the fuses are fine, and my brake lights are working. What should I check next?

Does your speedometer seem to be alright?

Yup...my speedo is working fine...

I had almost everything working great today (just got my airbag light off :-) it was the drivers side seatbelt latch), I drove for the first time without warning lights (yay) and then i rolled down my window and crunch...window regulator.

But yes, the speedometer is fine, the brake light switch is fine, clutch switch must be fine because I can start the car...is it the cruise switch itself?
