After having a problem with the A/C compressor cutting off on my 2002 TDI and wiggling the 30 amp fuse on the fuse block, the problem seemed solved. Several months later, the problem arose again. I replaced the fuse block on top of the battery after the recurrence of the problem with no change in the situation.
Fuse #16 on the fuse panel keeps blowing after which the cooling fans will come on. Replacing the fuse will solve the problem and can sometimes fix the problem for a day or two or only 10 minutes. No resistance is felt when turning the fans manually so I am guessing that this is likely not the problem. My next guess beyond the cooling fan is the a/c coil. Any suggestions? Thanks |
