Question How do I change the oil 2007 Turbo

I want to change the oil in my 2007 Turbo. Do I need special tools to get the oil pan cover off? Where is the filter and how do I get to it?
Thanks for any help! I know there is a "trick" to do this!

The engine is a 2.5 gas.

You say you have a 2007 Turbo?
The 1.8T gas and 1.9TDI diesel were not available in the 2007 model year. All NB's from 2006 thru 2009 have the 2.5L 5cylinder non-turbo gas engine.
Unless, of course, you're in Europe where the turbo engine is still available.
What engine do you have?

Default Engine

It is the Turbo body style but I guess it a straight 2.5 gas engine.

Sometimes it's best to let someone else do certain things. It will end up costing less in the long run. Even though changing the oil in this car is very simple it sounds (by the way you wrote the question) that it is way over your head.
Find a good mechanic and pay the bill.
Good luck.

Default How it got to be a Turbo

Yes, it was ordered as a Turbo but then the price went way up the person making the payments did not want to pay $35,000 so things started being removed. One of the things to go was the Turbo engine. The body style is just slightly different and does have the factory installed Turbo plate on the trunk. We had ordered all the goodies but sadly had to cut back and the engine went.

Default Over my head?

Well I can change the oil in the 1974 Beetle and in the 1999 Beetle so I know I can do this one as well with a little direction.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

You seriously think they took the turbo engine out?!? You couldn't even get a 1.8T after 2005, so someone obviously stuck a badge on your car.

Definitely take the car to a qualified mechanic.

Oh no, this is epic fail.

While I'm sure that you will eventually be able to change the oil in your car, as it is not much different from your 1999, I still recommend that you have a shop do it.

Bus pass anyone?

Also, please tell us more about the story of how your New Beelte that was unavailable with a turbo got ordered with a turbo and then dumbed down because the original owner couldn't afford it.

Yeah, the same thing almost happened to me...after we'd already agreed on the deal, the dealer tried to take out my turbo. I was too smart for that, though.
