Default Stupid window regulator!!!!!!

Broke again. I have been driving around for a month, with cardboard wedged into the gap to stop it sliding down into the door frame. Luckily I only live 3.2 miles form work and max. speed on A1A is 45, so only minor annoyance (whistling noise at 45 mph). Took door panel off today and sure enough, the stupid regulator is broken. This one only lasted 2 years.
This is getting ridiculous!!!!!!!!!
(But I still love Ladybug)

First picture is inner door panel with regulator and clips still attached:

This is a close up of the regulator, you can see the cable is kinked, it wrapped around the regulator and knotted up. Stupid design!!!!

Does anyone know if they ever cured this problem on the new models? I know they stopped putting that stupid rubber coating on the door panels, so maybe they fixed this as well.

Here is what the inside of the door looks like with both panels removed:

(And I apologize for the quality, off the iPhone, quicker than my camera but not quite as good)
