Default Bad Fuel Pump? Bad MAF Air Sensor? Bad Karma?

Hello All--

I post about 1 million questions cause my car has 1 million issues... so here is the latest one.

There are times (especially when it rains?) that my car will turn over, but will not move. I pump the gas a few times and nothing. It will stall out. Ill wait a few minutes and try again, and again, and again until it goes.

I have already replaced the cylinder hub situation (can you tell I have no idea? I just buy what Im told...)

My better half thinks it may be the fuel pump... but before we go replacing things randomly I was wondering if anyone has had a similar situation or had any advice.

She has about 110,000, 2.0l engine, manual tranny

I want to love my car... but she is making it difficult.

Thanks!

When you open your door to get in the car, do you hear a slight buzz? If you do, then the fuel pump is priming. If not, then its not priming, which could be why you can't get it to start.

Yes. As soon as you open the door to get in, the pump will prime.
