it probably just unscrewed out of the block.
If it spins and spins when trying to remove it, it's not stripped; it's probably already out. Otherwise you were turning it the wrong way. (and if it was stripped by overtightening, it'd still just ... lift right out.) So go ahead and lift the cover and pull it towards you to remove it. |
