Default CD stuck in 2006 OEM Monsoon/Sat radio

Well, Tater did me wrong this morning. My radio has been acting oddly for a few months. The satellite has gone off and on from time to time and eventually reset itself.

I don't play CD's very often. I put one in this morning and the radio started pulling it in. It stopped with about a third of it still to go, made some ticking noises and just as I reached to pull the CD to see if I could gently ease it out, it pulled in the CD. Now it won't eject the CD and makes ticking noises. The satellite radio locked onto station 1 and acted as if it had not been activated.

I just called my dealership and they said they can get the CD out and the radio is probably on the verge of becoming non-functional. They need to remove the radio to get the serial number so they can order a new one from VW (still have warranty left).

I'm bummed. The CD that was eaten was my brand new Beatles "Rubber Soul" album.

Does anyone know how to remove the CD without taking out the radio? There is no little hole to put a paper clip into to eject it. <major sad face here>

Nooooooo! Not the Beatles!

The may be a possiblity that the CD may be OK. Don't try to get it out on your own anymore. Let the dealer do what they need to do. Good luck!

I know Deb. I'm just sick. I'm slowly buying all of the remastered albums. I just bought this one yesterday (Sunday). I could just cry.

try disconnecting the power for a few seconds then see if it ejects after it powers back up. If not then you will have to let the dealership work on it.
