Default Clicking w/ new axles...

Ok here is the long story. I went to replace the eibach springs with another mfgr. The new fronts were packed wrong. The beetle was lowered to the point where the tires were tucked. My hands were tied and I had to drive to work this way. I noticed clicking coming from the front end, I think it was the driver's side. I got home with the correct springs and I ordered new reman axles. installed the new springs and the car is level. I still have the clicking even with the new axles. It has the sound of a bad CV, but could it be a wheel bearing or a bad reman?

I put the car up on jack stands ran it in drive and turned the wheel to full stop and there was no clicking. Drove it and it us there. It is there when I turn.

Probably your sway bar contacting the axles--it happens if you lower about 1.5" or more. There are adjustable end links available or sway bars designed for lowered suspensions.

bill, the 2000+ up cars don't have the axle issue, it's on cars with the rubber endlinks (pre 2000.5).

ps, get in chat, we need to talk.
