Default Black rubber in driver's side door frame

The black rubber on the bottom of the frame on the driver's side door is starting to come off a little. I think it got ripped. It's not much but definitely noticeable. How important is this to get replaced/repaired? I'm sure it keeps moisture out and I don't want that getting anywhere it's not supposed to be. Would that be under warranty? Thanks for any advice. If you don't know what I'm talking about, I can take a picture, but our digital camera is in the shop so it'll be awhile.

Sounds like the weather gasket. If it is torn or ripped the dealership may not replace it under warranty. It is not an emerengcy to get it replaced right away but it will need to be replaced in the near future.
