Exclamation Alarm broke, car wont start

HELP!!!! i went to start my car so i could go to school today and my alarm went off, i tried the normal trick to get it to stop but it didnt work (hitting the unlock button on the key fob twice) the key fob isnt working at all, now im stuck at home and dont know how to fix this problem

Dead battery in the fob?

anny idea on how to take apart the fob to get to the battery

changed the batterys and it still doesnt work, any other ideas

not sure, but can you unlock the car with the key? Would that turn the alarm off? Or, once you get the car open...pop the hood and unhook the battery. Not the ideal way to go, but if all else fails.

I know my fob stops working occasionally. Even with a new battery.

i called up a vw dealer today and the guy told me to unlock teh door with my key, then open and close the trunk with the key. after that the car should start, and it did. I think after changing the battery, the key just needed to be re-paired with the computer.
