Default Seat Squeak

Hey all,

Having a nasty problem with seat squeak in my '06 TDI. Both seats, almost continuos, extremely irritating. Seems to be coming from either the support mechanism underneath or the seat back, can't really tell yet.

Anyone else have this problem, or know of anything I can do to stop it?

Take it to the dealer. It's brand new. You shouldnt have any trouble with anything.

Daisy's seats squeaked EVERY time I drove through a hole or over a bump. I had to have the passenger seat replaced because the seat base broke and the wiring got all screwed up. I told the dealer about the squeaks and they lubed it up. No more squeaks now. Yea!

Anyone know how I can do this myself? I'd rather not pay the dealer $$$$ for something that I can do.

I don't know how much it cost to lube up Daisy's seat, because warranty covered it. But the base was coated with a Vaseline like substance. Kind of sticky and annoying to get on fingers. The invoice said "Lubed seat track assy at base - seems ok now"
