2001 1.8t electrical problems?

all of a sudden the following things will stop working randomly:
-lights will flicker to daytimes at night (rarely)
-remote key won't always lock my car (but will unlock/pop trunk)
-trunk won't always shut (usually I have to unlock the car with the key and then try to shut the trunk again)
-cruise control won't work all the time
-driver side front speakers won't work (this could be because the previous owner just sucked)
-passenger side window doesn't go up (has been looked at and the moter is just fine, going to put a new switch in next week to see if that's the problem)

this all might have nothing to do with each other and I just need to check circuits and wires, but it's worth checking here.
in case this has happened to anyone, let me know!
