Exclamation Having window problems - how do I remove door panel?

Drats . . .I rolled down my passenger window tonight and now it won't go up . . . it's been making gritty noises lately but I was trying to ignore it.

I can't find any threads describing how to remove the door panel. Any help would be appreciated.

I have had so many problems with my little bug that I've been treating it like a red-headed step child. Looking at this link makes me want to take care of it better now. Thanks!

Kathy

Take it to the dealer. There is an extended warranty on the window lifts. You should be covered.

Extended warranty? On a 2000 NB with 120,000 miles?

It's they're lame way of ignoring something that should have been a RECALL

But yeah; they should cover it under "warranty". They put a 7yr extension on it I believe.

Yours seems to have broke just in time I hope.

Good luck.

Thanks for the info. . . now if only the rain/snow will hold off until I get it fixed. Probably wishful thinking!

I was in the dealership for 3 1/2 hours on Friday but they fixed my window and went ahead and replaced the other one while they were at it. No charge . . . I was SHOCKED! Thanks everyone for all your help and letting me know about the extended warranty!
