Default Help pls (lights) Possible ecm??

I have the high beams stuck on. Here is what I did. I installed xenon lights... I know no one seems to like them. At first I had them with no relays! (I know .. not smart)

The high beam light was like a strobe light on the cluster.. but high beam bulbs were not on, I neglected for to long (3 weeks).... Now my dash light is on solid and so are my bulbs all 4 ( 2 low and 2 high) all the time even with drl. I can't turn on fog lights because highs are always on.

I have unplugged the dimmer switch on steering column and problem persist.

I unplug the light switch on dash and good news all my lights go off. But if I pull on dimmer switch to pass I get all 4 light on??

I feel it is a problem with a computer, module, relay? What is it called and where is it?

Thanks!

.... What good is unplugging the dimmer swtich? That just controls the brightness of the interior lights.

Hmm, i'm not sure and i really dont want to sound like a , but did you accidently push the highbeam lever forward and forget about it? I've done that and i couldn't figure for the life of me why it was so bright out that night . Eventually, I noticed the bright blue light sitting on top of the dash.

I wish! It was that simple. When I say dimmer switch I was referring to the arm on the column. It is the one I unpluged and high beam and low still on?

Forgot to mention ..... no key in ignition , if I turn on the lights it starts my blower fan (inside for heat or ac)???

Sounds like you have some electrical problems you need sorted out. Did you hook up everything correctly for the lighting when you installed it? I assume that everything worked fine before the new lights, so I would trace back any wiring that was done and make sure it is correct.

check and see if your ignition switch went bad they're a known problem and can cause all sorts of weird problems

I tried to unplug the ignition switch and problem is still existing.

I also checked the fuses, relays, and fuses above battery. Looks as good as new , no melting?

Thanks!

I fount a mess of melted wires above the relays. It was obviously the cause of all my misery. Glad to find it before I lost the car to a fire
