Just press them on, or will I need any tools?

All dealer stock type hardware.

OK now looking toward the future (and looking for trouble I guess).

What's a good way to take them off without damaging them. Some particular tool or what?

do your caps have a hole in the center?

if so i use a hook tool, just yank'em off.

And if they're the hex ones, they have a lip on them.

They usually ship with a little plastic tool that makes extraction a breeze.

A flat blade screwdriver works well too
