Default RPMs and Speed

There has been much commentary regarding the RPMs at a given speed; well I plugged in my Laptop/VCDS to each of my NB's and on three road trips recording the Engine RPMs and Speed in KM's. The first one is the wife's NB (aka Dear), the second one is my oldest sons (aka HiLiter) and lastly mine (aka Valdez).

Dear - 2000 1.8T (APH) has an O2J-EBQ Transmission.
HiLiter - 1999 2.0 (AEG) has an O2J-EKG Transmission.
Valdez - 1998 2.0 (AEG) has an O2J-DZQ Transmission.

Here are those results...

Default laptop hook up

i was reading were you hooked up your nb and was wondering were i could get that hook up and what all can you control with it
