Default Code P0600 Serial Comm Link Malfunction

I am getting this code on my 2002 New Bettle GLS. Any ideas on what this code is? P0600 Serial Comm Link Malfunction.

I just got the same code, the readout says:

Open or short circuit condition

Probably cause:
1. Poor electrical connection
2. Shortened information sensor
3. Failed ECM

I need to take it in to someone who has a VAG-COM that can make more sense of this.

Hey, both of you you may want to take a look at the code scanner in my signature, especially if you can't afford VAGcom or to pay $100-$150 diagnostic fee EACH time you go visit. It pulls the Vw Specific codes just fine and also resets them.
