Exclamation engine light.. help!

2000 1.8L, 121300 miles. engine rebuilt couple months ago.

I was on my way to work today, I got on the interstate and car didn't want to accelerate, it was stuck at 40 mph, my rpms were fine it was light she just didn't wanna change gears. Finally got going, and now my check engine light is on! Husband just came by and looked her over, oil and coolants are both fine, he reeved the engine up, no problems or sounds.

Any ideas? After finally got going down the interstate she was fine, ran perfect, no other problems or noises.. nothing!

Go to an autozone or equivalent. They will scan your car for free and get you the codes. Let us know what the codes are. They will point you in the right direction. We can guess a lot, but the codes are where the answers are.

Did the EPC orange light come on at the top center of the gauge cluster, then the yellow engine emissions light lower left? If so and the car bogs down at slow speeds but operates normal once going faster its likely the G28 crank speed sensor. It is located on the drivers side of the engine block beside the oil cooler. It is fastened to the block with one hex key bolt right in the block.

no EPC light, just engine. Went to autozone today, and there was only one code. It had to do with the secondary air injection (P0411) was the code

I'm going to guess that your car is an automatic.

Have you ever replaced the transmission fluid?
