Angry Huge windshield crack

I'm STILL kicking myself... I know, I know. I tend to have a bit of a temper and yesterday my friend and I were going to lunch together and he was driving my car. He ended up making me really angry at one point to where I tossed my iPhone at the dash. It then bounced right off the dash, barely hitting the windshield even... and of course with my luck -- BAM. So now I have a huge crack right on the passenger side. I just remember staring at it not knowing whether to scream or cry. I'm so mad at myself... guess that's a good way to get me to think before my anger gets the best of me from now on, huh?

So on to the main question here: Have any of you ever had to have the entire windshield replaced? I think my insurance would cover it under my comprehensive and my deductible is $200. Those of you who have had this work done before -- was it more or less than $200? I'm going to shop around with prices on Monday but I'm just interested in what I may be looking at spending here so I can prepare myself for the news...

Oh, and pictures:

Not sure how insurance works where you are, but I know on my insurance the windshield deductable is only $50. I'd say see if you can figure out how your insurance handles it.

I had mine replace about 3 weeks ago for $260. If I had had real "VW" glass installed the bill would have been $100 more. Just for the little "VW" symbol on the corner. Otherwise the markings and maker are the exact same as the OEM.

Or, if your iPhone is the new one, send the bill to Apple as damage caused from frustration caused by the infamous "Death Grip"?

Safelite Repair, safelite replace

I'd call for a free estimate first at the very least.

Got a windshield replaced last fall (on a car I later sold) but it was totally covered by my insurance with no deductible.
