Hi folks,
My 2001 Beetle cut out recently. I eventually restarted it by using jump leads. It then cutout going along the highway while I was doing 70 mph. It won't restart. I got it towed home but it won't jump start this time. I got it towed to the VW dealer and they seem to be taking a long time to fix it. They have had it 3 weeks now! Any ideas what the probelm might be??? Beetle-juice! ![]() |

Has the dealer checked relay 109? This is the power supply relay that has been a reliability nightmare for VW. Failed solder connections in the relay can cause power to be removed from the ECU which will cause the engine to immediately die.
