Default Touareg Torch Battery changing?

Anyone know how to change the battery in the Touareg Torch light?

I have one, but I have not needed to change the battery. Check with VW service? Or the Club Touareg forums, maybe?

Two questions.

1. The socket that charges it is getting power?

2. VWoA did not send you a new one?

If the Touareg is like my 09 NBC, the power outlets are switched on with the ignition switch. That is, not powered all the time. Bummer!

Socket gets power. I use the same socket for my GPS. Very low illumination in the light itself....so guessing the battery isn't keeping a charge.

I got a new one when I purchased...haven't contacted VWoA. Not sure what #2 meant.

VWoA has a program for original Touareg owners, they will send you a new one free.

Any idea what the process is for that?
Is there a form, email or website I need to submit to?

Thanks

Thanks -I checked the Touareg forums, but nobody mentioned how they contacted VW, probably their dealers when they didn't get the Torch when the bought the car...but no one was talking about battery replacements.

I personally have never replaced a battery in one, if I get a chance tomarrow I will get you the 800 number for customer complaints and see if I cant find a repair guide for the light.
