Window Problem?

Since i bought my car my driver side window doesn't go down but i can hear the motor in the door working.
Does anyone happen to know what i need to buy to fix it? Someone told me a window regulator but im not sure.

window regulator most likely. I hear the dealerships covered them for quite some time. How old is your bug?

Wow, i went to the part store & they said it would cost me abt $250
