I am going to swap my Fuel Filter tomorrow just to see if I can do it. If anyone can break things it will be me .
Maybe I had an issue because I didn't pull off my gas cap to relieve pressure. I'm good for breaking things too, Tom. So, how'd it go?

Actually, I haven't gotten to it yet. I somehow pulled a muscle or something and I can't barely move my right arm.
It's really weird. I can type but I can't lift it without hurting like hell. So I have been putting off installing my HID kit and the Fuel Filter. I will give it a couple of days and see how it goes. I may do the HID's in the next couple of days since I don't have to jack up the car for them
I was wondering. How is the Fuel Filter attached to the other side? I know of the side with the plastic elbow that if you break it you are in deep Do Do, but how about the other side of the Filter? I guess I just have to wait and see and surprise myself

Happy Trails.

I don't know. We have some mighty good tasting fuel filters around these parts. But when they are not available I like Longhorns for Babybacks.

I did mine about 2k miles ago. I dont remember the last time it was changed before then. It was very simple, altho I was worried about breaking the damn clips. :P Car ran much smoother afterwards.

The back clip is the same as the front. Now that I'm thinking about it, opening the gas cap wouldn't have helped anyway. After the one clip broke, there was no pressure on it! Good luck on both projects Tom and hope your arm feels better.

COOL, I will tackle the fuel filter sometime this week. The HIDs I will do today. Just don't have a 25mm drill bit or Unibit. I checked Loews Hardware and they wanted over 50 bucks for one of those Unibits Perhaps a visit to Harbour Freight is in order.
The arm is a lot better today. I guess that's whay I get working out with 50lbs dumbbells

Smile fuel filter

I did mine months ago and my car had 150k miles, saw no diffirence in drivability it just needed to be done. real easy job, just raise the car as high as you can on the back side next to the filter and use long nose needle pliers, don't force it just press the white thin tab in and pull the line at the same time- easy as pie..LOL hope this helps.

ps; make sure you release the pressure of the gas lines first and disable the gas pump, open the gas tank too. Good luck to anyone else reading this who is planning on doing this small job in the near future.
