I bought my bug mid August of this year, I just got off the phone with insurance, it's written off :'(

Ouch! You're okay, that's the upside! You going to part it or fix it? Doesn't really look that bad, appears to be mostly shell damage, any structural? It's a bitch these days, just doesn't take much damage for a total with the retail cost of parts and repairs.

I was following a guy in a pick-up pulling a utility trailer, he changed into the curb lane slowed down then proceeded to do a U-turn right in the middle of the street. I stopped as soon as I saw the guy come into my lane but it wasn't soon enough and the trailer brushed my car. Oddly enough there was a no U-turn sign right there. Insurance said that the car was a total loss, so I'll take the settlement and get another.
