Okay, perhaps you weren't following, and Blugg keeps interjecting, Shhh... Blugg! Wrong diagram to start with, fixed now. The red with blue tracer is the power lead coming from the CCM. The gray is probably a part of the alarm system or something else have to go to different set of diagrams. The motor itself, red/blue tracer (+) (this is the wire that is switched by the door switch, through the CCM) brown (-). There should only be power in it when the switch is tripped. The CCM is fused, but I would think other things would not be working also, I'll get you all rel;ated fuse positions to check. Gotta take the dog out.

I am only reading .06 amps at the motor and 11.5 at the switch so im beginning to beleive that it is a problem with the ccm. i am assuming that this means that i will have to take it to the dealer or else someone else that works on VW's?

The red/blue tracer lead? with the switch tripped? at the motor, right? Can you find it at the CCM and check the voltage output? There are only two this color at the CCM plugs, an 0.5(this one) and a 1.0.

I found the ccm. How do I check the voltage output?

Find the 0.5 red/blue trcer lead, there are only two red/blue tracer wires, the other is a 1.0. Be sure your checking the voltage at the smaller red/blue tracer

I'm assuming you mean, and I took it that when when I read it, volts, not amps.

That would indicate you are getting no power to the motor. But the output at the CCM could be okay. Could be a wiring issue between the CCM and the motor.

No, you don't want to unplug it. There are inbound and outbound wires in the plug. You want to use a probe and either puncture the wire insulation or go down into the wire connection in the plug.

Sorry, posts have gotten kind of confusing, do we need to walk through this again?
