my drivers side headlight went out, how do i replace bulb

ive looked on here for how to's but had no luck. my drivers side headlight just went out earlier today and id like to get a new bulb in asap!! someone please give me the steps/directions to change the bulb. please, and thank you!

Oh Boy, it's a bit tricky to get the headlight out if it hasn't been removed in a while. A lot of Grime and grit gets into the plastic collar that locks it in place and when you try and move that plastic lever to the up position to remove it it sometimes doesn't want to move. Here is a video that may explain some things.

Here is a picture of the Passenger Side Headlight Lever.
It is pretty much the same way on the drivers side:



You need to press on the hatched area (Yellow outline #1) and at the same time slowly pull up on the lever (Green outline#2)
While pulling up on the lever try and ease out the headlight. It will not want to come out easily especially if that plastic ring/collar is dirty. Just keep on pushing a bit and then try grab it from the front and wiggle it and pull forward. Move the lever all the way up while moving the headlight forward and out. It is a Royal Pain if you have never done it. It took me over an hour to take one side out. But that included thouroughly cleaning the headlight, taking out the plastic ring/collar taking it apart and washing and cleaning it and then putting everything back together. I actually switched to HID lighting. The bulbs suppose to last 4 times longer and I really don't want to do this again any time soon.
After cleaning the headlight area and tracks it now comes out very easily. At least for the time being.

I believe the dealer charges $70+ to replace a headlight bulb. Totally rediculous!

im getting a bulb and doing this tomorrow. it'll prob be tricky for me since i have never done this and i do not think the previous owner ever replaced the bulbs at all.

Just take your time and don't rush it. Be gentle with Ringo Also, I don't think you have to remove your airbox in order to take out the drivers side headlight.
