Default Clicking Noise, Please help

I noticed a clicking noise coming from what I think is a fan attached to the radiator (or right next to the radiator) in my 2006 New Beetle Convertible. I noticed that when I turn the car off I can here the clicking noise slow down as the fan slows down to a stop. I checked and it does not appear that anything is hitting the fan.

Do any of you Gurus out there have any suggestions?

Thanks,
Steve

Can you spin the fan on its own with the car off and hear anything? Listened to it with the hood up and the car running? Do you hear it when driving or just when parked?

Yes I can here it when the car is off and I spin the fan with my hand. I can also hear it with the car running, air (fan), on and the hood is up.

If I press back on the plastic shroud that the fan is attached to while it is spinning it goes away. Could the whole fan be loose?
