Mirror Control Switch

I have a 2000 Beetle and need help on removing the mirror control switch. I have a new one to install but cannot get the old one out.

Use D2beetle thread link. You have to remove the door panel it comes off from the backside. Qiuck fix once you get to the back of the switch. I had someone hold the panel while I replaced mine. Did not have to totally remove the panel that way.
