Default My dash instrument cluster lights stopped working

Can anyone suggest what may be causing my panel lights not to work? It looks like all other lights are working properly. I have a multimeter and basic skills. I don't see any large blade fuses blown. I've rolled the wheel next to the headlight switch and it does not fix the issue. The speedometer is simply dark after I did some other dash work over the weekend. I did not get into the cluster, I got into the center to install a new head unit.

Are all of the dimmable lights out or just the whole cluster? Are any lights left on in the cluster?

The speedometer area is completly dark. The AC, Hazard, radio, signals all work and are lit. But the tach and speedo cannot be seen at night. So it's the dimmable lights.

It's probably the dimmer switch or wiring to that switch then.

They worked follwoing the installation of the stereo head unit. Iknow because I dimmed and brightened the lights. But the following evening they did not. I will pull that dimmer and see if I have voltage to it. I am guessing the dimmer can be bypassed to get light back, until I can get a replacement?

You might have burned a wire somewhere. That's not uncommon with stereo installs if the harness isn't perfectly tight.
