Starts then stops
I have a 2000 turbo.... It is my wifes car really... Here is the deal... At no reliable consistancy... The thing will start run 2 seconds then quit... Some times starts on the next try..... sometimes it will take 20 tries and everything in between.... Have had it to the dealer (no longer in town) they replaced the mass air thing and new keys but only managed to reduce my bank acount ....
We live in Fairbanks Alaska with no dealer.... Anybody have an idea..... ????

Is a CEL on when it does run?
Are there any codes stored? If not dealership is nearby, I'd definitely recommend getting a VAG-COM at www.ross-tech.com so you can be self-sufficient.
