Factory Warranty Question
Does anyone know if the Factory 10yr/100,000mi warranty on a 99 Beetle changes to 5yr/50,000mi when there is a 2nd or 3rd owner? Thats what the VW guy told me but I thought I read somewhere that it doesn't change with different owners. Anyone know?
Also, I'm trying to change my manual tranny fluid but I am having a hard time finding the right tool to take off the drain plug. What tool do I use? Thanks

it is a 17 or 19mm wrench; and you need a pump to suck the fluid out and then put the new fluid in. This is, at least, what my Jetta 2.0/Manual buddy told me; we're ordering oil for both our cars this week and doing it next weekend we hope.

It is different on Beetles. There is a drain plug and a fill plug. The drain plug uses a hex key type but I don't know where to get it or what size it is.
